Healing Workouts = mobility and strength for 6+ weeks post-surgery and beyond. These workouts are best for partial and full mastectomy, once cleared by surgeon.
Restoring Workouts = traditional strength and mobility with modifications. These workouts are best during treatment and beyond. Restoring workouts progressively add more range of motion and difficulty, starting with #1 as the easier workout.
Resources = informative videos, best for pre-surgery and post-surgery.
This RESTORING workout includes 12 minutes of standing exercises - never moving the arms above shoulder height. We finish with 8 minutes of floor work, strengthening the glutes and core, also adding flexibility and mobility. Exercises include:
-Balance with chair
-Counterbalance squats
-Front raise
-Supported reverse row
-Platters
-Supported triceps kickback
-Biceps curl
-Diaphragmatic/Transverse breath
-Chicken wings
-Ab crunches
-Modified ab bicycle
-Bird dog
-Stretches
Equipment: light dumbbells or soup cans, sturdy chair.
