In this video I explain a yoga practice and the difference between practicing yoga and stretching for flexibility. There are an infinite number of exercises and stretches, some that mimic a yoga "pose" and some yoga poses that mimic a stretch. I believe prayer should be your first step, as well as talking with your priest or pastor.
